If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
This is an easy one … My weight. I am a big woman but wasn’t always big. I was skinny until puberty then I started developing curves. A lot of emotional things happened around the same time and I found comfort in food and books, never really big on physical activity. I unfortunately turned into a closet eater and steadily gained weight through the teens and my adult life. Even though it is difficult I have promised myself never to become a yoyo dieter with fad diets and that I will do everything to keep my children from suffering the same fate. My daughter is going through puberty now and I make sure she gets plenty of exercise and I try to teach her moderation. Hopefully I will be able to pass on the knowledge I have gained from the mistakes I made so that as an adult she will be healthy and strong.
